5 whole years. Yeah 14k is nothing! You can buy a new fully loaded se fiesta or a slightly used st lol I guess.
I pay 250 a month to have a nice round number and pay it off quicker.
Thats not bad, a ling time to be paying it off, i think i was looking at 3years at around 200 a month with 6k deposit

With interest rates where they are, it's kind of silly to put anything down. Just my opinion of course.

Some opinions are terrible. That's my opinion.
Sorry but I'd rather have my down payment money invested in the market earning (on average) 7% a year. With I have a 2% interest rate it's still a net win for me.

Oh, well great for you. I have 0% interest rate. But none of this helps the OP, does it?

Pot calling the kettle black?
Because I have nothing better to do for the next 2 minutes, let me break it down for you.

People in this thread were discussing payments. I offered financial advice with reasoning to back it up. You then informed other readers my opinion was horrible without any reasoning of your own. When I further explained my reasoning, you claimed I was off topic.

You still havent offered any logical argument to refute my statement. Instead, you got defensive.

However, now we are definitely off topic. If you'd like to engage in an intellectual conversation, I'd be happy to continue this via PM.

I like this in the open. Your original post offered no reasoning. When you did offer that reasoning after my post, I conceded. Whether or not you understood that is all on you. But it seems you didn't since you felt the need to come after me yet again. I was attempting to be amicable but, it was ignored so now you can take your condescending bullshit and blow out of your ass because I don't give two fucks about what you invest.

If you were truly being amicable, it did not come across that way. I apologize if I misread your post. Lets move on.

Wooooahhh i missed this!

Well been into the ford dealership in northampton to look at a st1 in white, ?13641 and 3005 miles, none of the bells and whistles though :( but with a trade in of 1500 and 2k deposit we would be looking at 220ish a month for 4years,

What options are a must on these?

Nothing. Sunroof extra weight, nav- you can get a chip for like 50 bucks to have nav, if you're a big person- the normal seats are fine, if not recaros- but they aren't as comfy for daily driving. Other than that- nothing

Interesting,

i have to say im in the uk, i dont think we get the same options as in the us. Sunroof isnt an option ive seen in the uk, but the st-2 seems to be a popular package.
Heated seats? Foldable door mirrors? Sony stereo?

I bought a fully loaded ST in the States for 18995 with 13k miles. It was the best deal by almost 2k dollars and I didn't have to drive 200+ miles away to get it either.
