Anyone have experience with Powerflex LCA bushings?

My passenger side LCA has a rip in the balljoint boot, and I was going to replace it. Figured while I'm at it, I could upgrade the bushings.

I had the front street grade LCA bushings, paired with the SuperPro bushes for the rear LCA bushes (the PowerFlex ones were not compliant with my autocross class requirements) installed into new Ford LCAs. I took them off after ~2k miles because they had more NVH than I wanted to deal with and there was a clunk (I blame the clunk on the guy that installed them). There was some slight improvement in the tightness of the suspension, but we have really crap roads up here and the car is already too "racecar". I still need to list them for sale to someone who is harder core than me.
Pro Tip: If you need to get new LCAs, DON'T get the Delphi units from Rock Auto, as they don't have the right bolt holes for our cars.

The MOOG driver side one I have had the same issue, I pressed out the bushing that came with it, and just threw my old OEM ones in. Fit like a charm, and it was $50 instead of ~$150

May do the same again for the pass side, lol

yeah, one thing I noticed is that the price of the Ford OEM control arms went from $78 last summer to $140 this spring. I wish I would have saved the bushings that I had pressed out of the new arms

From an actual dealership they're almost $250, I can't believe the markup lol

I have both Powerflex LCA bushing. The lca caster bushing is solid. The front lca bushing I was the black 'race' (not purple) spec polyu bushings. In addition, I also installed the alex the mechanist aluminum steering rack bushing. Did an hpde event with just that at Chuckwalla, otherwise stock suspension and enjoyed the car a lot more.

later added DNA rear solid bushing and powerflex rear spring mount bushing also 'black' race spec when I installed my coilover suspension. Had them installed at a good shop that did my LSD, clutch, etc.

I love the setup. I find it really communicative and responsive. If there was increased harshness in ride quality or making unpleasant noises don't notice that at all. IMO a full on bushing upgrade is one of the best things you can't do as it enhances the car's responsive and confidence inspiring quality. works great in hpde and the one autoX I did (autoX not really my thing at all but wanted to test my suspension setup further)

That being said a lot of non-car people complain a lot when they sit in my cars, so maybe my judgement is off.

I ended up ordering the black race spec front bushing, I'll probably order the rear bushing too after I double check the finances. Trying to save up for an LSD, then pay to have it installed alongside my clutch I've had sitting around for a while. Thanks chief :)

yeah have fun! Its a good setup along with LSD. I also have LSD and along with the bushings, bracing and mounts my car feels like a more nimble baby evo.

Another alternative to consider, although maybe a path less explored is the DNA Lca's with bushings already in place. Sadly could not find a whole lot of feedback on them on any forum but apparently Ron mentions they do get sold from time to time.
