Hello everyone,

MK7 / 2014.

My driver seat dosen't slide anymore. It seems that the bearing let me down.

Anyone ever replace the rail? From what i can see, it seems to be pretty hard: i did not see any screw / bolt: it's all look like ''press fit'' screw (don't know if it's the correct way to say it!)

I fell like i will have to replace the seat or at least, it will be easier (but more expensive)

Anyone ever replace the rail? Anyone know a video / tutorial?

I have joined a photo: do you think i can replace ONLY the part in red or i will have to replace all the steel frame (which is embedded in the seat)

Thx and be carefull

Did you ever get this issue solved?

Seat rails typically have multiple bearings. I wonder if the seat rail is seized? It might just need some effort to get it moving again and a bit of grease. Seat rails are typically controlled by the seat lever, which attaches to the rail either directly, or via wire. Is the lach that locks the rail in place moving when you move the lever?
