I have been working on a solution for some time and finally have the parts on the way and will work with a vendor to make these available. Many setups sold for other vehicles, just getting them made for us now
Not a great picture but it is what I could find, we get two piece rotors with much better looking hats
This is performance first, looks second but will look great, just not massive as massive this car does not need as a low weight car.
I have a custom front Wilwood BBK from 2JR with 11.75" slotted GT rotors, DP6 calipers, I have to make the mounts.
I wanted a vented rear rotor to better handle the rigors of a very quick ST driven all out, late and threshold breadking, 4 piston low weight setup and searched and found a caliper with parking brake arms, low profile, etc....
An 11" rotor would fit but simply is more than needed so I am going to run a 10.75" and save another .5 lbs per side.
I have to develop the caliber mounts and cable mods to actuate the brake caliper but it looks like a re-routing of the stock cables, a bit of heat shielding, a bracket or two should be it. This is a different company as they are the only ones that have access to this caliber so I will get them to come on board here when ready, it is Wilwood based caliper so great quality/value as always with them.
This caliper/parking brake setup was designed to meet race rules where a functioning parking brake is required, not to hold a car on a steep hill, for that you have to keep it in gear and might even want to turn towards the curb, which is a good idea anyway.
It will be legal, very very low weight, will work for many situations but the steep hills, perfect for my needs and others that want to have great brakes on track.
This will be a very affordable and functional kit.
No timeline worked out yet but do let me know if interested as the prospective vendor would like an idea of what to expect.
Thanks
Rick
