How much disassembly is this? Im not quite sure what the harness consists of.

Does this swap retain full airbag deployment?
Pretty much just pull it off the seat like a regular plug it's not hard. I have not hear otherwise so yes the bags will still work

I mean he says an airbag light is on, meaning that he airbags may not go off, so I’m willing to bet there will be more than a bit of trouble shooting.

That said the only thing really keeping me from buying is the 28 hour drive.

I meant after fixing the airbag light that it should work. If the light is on something obvs is wrong. I bought my seats online. $800 shipped for the whole set, but they had no idea what they had when they sold them to me, especially in Molten Orange

There are several solutions. 1. Just swap over the foam and covers to your existing seats. 2. Easiest* Swap seatbelt buckle end from your existing seats. (This may be only reason light is on) 3. Swap your airbag and seat belt buckle end to these seats. 4. Pay someone to turn light off with scanner. A standard obd2 scanner won't work.
