Shelby style striping

I'm not a fan of the stripes, even if it's a Shelby. I've even considered removing the Rubicon stickers from the Gladiator. I just prefer subtle.
The black and gold is specific to Hertz rental car editions, correct? As in, that's the only way to get Black/Gold? This would also bother me.
But these are my opinions and shouldn't influence you. It's your car, your style, and always removable. If it's something you want to do, go for it. All that really matters is that you love it.
