Bought my 2016 FiST two weeks ago and just noticed that someone signed their name on the glovebox:

I live in Oregon but the car's first owner bought it in Riverside CA. Could this be from a SoCal tuner?

Anyone recognize the sig?

Peter

Bloody hell! I'm guessing the first owner must have taken the glove box door to a signing event.

I think the PO drove to the yearly fiesta event where KB does signing. I could be wrong, but I think KB and Ford worked together to market the FiST. Kens wife races the R2 fiesta. And of course, youve probably seen his fiesta..

That's Ken Block's signature.

Rally driver, Gymkhana, etc.

iirc he showed up at a couple meets or something and signed a bunch of cars.

Yup, and he used to drive an R5/WRC Fiesta in national (and international/WRC) rally events as well in the past, besides his "Gymkhana" spec one.

I did not even think to have him sign my glove box door when he was up at NEFR where I volunteered last month (but I did speak to him about the roll, crash, and burn of his Escort Cossie RS/WRC after the event, at the awards ceremony).

Ironically, THAT car (the one he incinerated) is what the company given the event t shirt contract chose to use on the front graphics.

Ken Block and Vaughn Gittin Jr. were at the 2017 Los Angeles ST Meet and was signing anything people wanted them to sign...
Thanks for the link!

You can't really see the signature too well on the glove box door given the angle. My wife actually noticed it first, thought it was a scuff mark on the glove box. I looked down and did a "WTF, someone's signed it!"

glove box and engine covers were the two popular items people were having signed in addition to posters they were giving out.
