1. For you who DD how is it? For me, the ST is one of the best cars I have ever driven and surely the best I have ever owned. For all around performance, drivability, fun, comfort, and looks, the Fiesta ST is my perfect car. I have owned Focuses (new) since 2000 and then a Fiesta (non-ST) from 2010-2014. None have been as much fun as the ST.
2. How comfy is it? My BRZ is stiff as hell so thats my comparison. I find the ST to be very comfortable and not stiff. I have the Mountune springs that are 5% stiffer than stock and find the ride to be great. Of course, my other car has springs that are over 4x stiffer than stock and I think that is ok too.
3. Whats your real life MPG? 31 is my current average with 70% highway/30%city and very spirited on-ramps and some hooning. My ST is also tuned, so it isn't stock.
4. Any issues with the turbo? None that I have had.
5. How similar to the SE does the ST drive (in terms of ease, i understand this has almost double the power) I had a Fiesta SES prior to the ST. The difference is night and day. The SES always felt underpowered, had terrible gear ratios in the transmission, suspension was too soft for me, seats were average, brakes were average, and the car never really performed how I wanted to no matter how much money I threw at it. I was in Brazil and had a chance to drive a prototype between filming a commercial and it took about 30 seconds for me to realize that the ST is exactly what I wanted in a small car. The sounds, acceleration, gear ratios, steering, suspension, looks, seats, and brakes were all what I wanted out of my 2011, but could never achieve. I got out of the car and couldn't wait to get one of my own. The first ST I drove in Brazil is a twin to the one I have now. It would have taken massive amounts of money to get the SES to come close to what the ST does out of the box.
6. Is this a car you see owning for a long time? Yes! I plan on keeping mine for as long as I can keep it looking good from Michigan winters. Financially, I am in a spot where the Focus RS is achievable, but I just can't imagine getting rid of my ST for a car that is much larger, heavier, and more expensive. The RS needs an open track to fully enjoy, where the ST has a lower performance level and you can enjoy it on the street everyday.
