Regarding getting folks to track their Fiesta's, there are several good threads on how to start. The reason to start is these cars cannot be fully explored on the street. Not that any modern car can, but these are so rewarding to push on track, it feels that is what they are designed for.
Although using better brake fluid is the main one, I did not start with that. I just went to track totally stock. No brake problems as long as ESC is off. If car gets too hot, turn the heater on. No need for all the goodies.
I am astonished at how much better a driver I have become in 15 months of tracking. And that the car is still a better track car than I am a driver.
Saturday a fellow driving a $100k Mercedes commented he was surprised the Fist was that quick. I pointed a 430 Ferrari Challenge by on back straight, he did not catch me in the twisties. Nice guy, we ate lunch together. Another guy had a full race MR2, slicks and all. I could only catch him on the straights.
Too many vignettes to recount, it all adds up to a blast every track day.
