So I just picked up a set of Konig Hypergrams. 17x8 et40. They have the stock size (205/40/17) tires on them right now, but I do not like the minor stretch in the sidewall and want to fill the fender gap a bit. I wanted a 215/40/17 tire but there are not a whole lot of options in that size. 215/45/17 seems to have a LOT more options as far as what tires are available but I am worried about rubbing on the fenders at speed / full lock, the car sees a few track days in a year and I would like to use these wheels for the track as well as daily driving. I am lowered on Swift Spec-R springs with Bilstein B8 shocks in the front / Koni yellows in the back, so about 1" front .8" rear.
Will it rub? Is anyone else running a 215/45/17 on a 17x8 and is lowered?
