Driving normally in my neighbourhood and all of a sudden a loud thumping metal on metal which I thought came from the exhaust hitting the underbody. Drove slowly to the dealer and they checked it out at no cost. It pays to be nice to the service people! Apparently the top mount on the passenger side had been damaged and moving around. Ordered the new parts and now I'm back on the road. Must have occurred over a period of time having hit potholes which I couldn't avoid and broke a collar allowing it to move. Getting alignment done tomorrow. First big problem on the car!
