Turn off notifications?

I don't see a way to turn off/customize notifications in the Settings. Is this not possible?

(Does anyone actually use this forum? Where are the admins?)

Got to the main Settings link on the top right of any page here and then in the left hand column you can go to "General Settings" for quite a few settings related to notifications and more...

Haha, last time I posted in here it went unanswered.

What I am referring to is the post likes/quotes/etcetera up in the top right. I don’t see any settings for that.

Is there seriously no way to turn off the obnoxious red flashing alert bar except to manually click every liked post/reply/etc one by one? Someone thinks this is good design?

Never seen this red flashing alert bar you "speak" of.

Try different forum skin/theme ?
