Installing JL Audio C1 up front. Good news, tweeter snaps right into the factory mounting spot tightly, no mods.

But as I prepare to wire in the inline high-pass filter, I'm worried about polarity.

There's a green/orange and gray/orange. I can see these come from the woofer harness. I'm using a metra adapter that plugs into the factory tweeter harness. I may have to change polarity. Anyone know which is which?

Polarity was correct to the metra adapters and inline high-pass filter

Green/orange +
Gray/orange -

Crutchfield doesn't list these adapters as working with the factory tweeter harness but they do. Posting part number photo below and happy to report the tweeters that come with the JL Audio C1 650, snaps right into the factory mounting area, no brackets screws or glue needed.

The JL Audio C1 in all 4 doors sound fantastic. I was afraid their 50w rms wouldn't net me much improvement but they totally do.

The most noticeable difference is you can hear more of each track that basically wasn't there with the stock speakers.

Secondly, I can play the volume higher without distortion. I used to run it between 15-17. Now it's 21-24. I had a discussion with AI aka Skynet lite..anyhow keeping it below 25 was its recommendation based on the new speakers sensitivity and the factory amplifier limitations.

I'll note I do have Sony dsp turned off via FORSCAN and I did a full Dynamat treatment on the inner doorskins.
