upgrading upper engine mounts

I've been looking around at mount upgrades and don't know which is best for me or if they're even needed.
I'm getting ready to put on a dizzy stage 2 93 octane tune this weekend if weather permits.

Is it a good idea to upgrade the upper motor mounts? From my understanding there are 3 motor mounts, the rear (already upgraded), passenger upper (stock), and driver upper (stock).

The options I've seen are:

inserts:
https://whoosh-motorsports.myshopif...ront-upper-engine-mount-insert-street-or-race

Do these work for both sides?

passenger side bolt:
https://whoosh-motorsports.myshopif...r-engine-mount-bolt-upgrade-kit-free-shipping

full mounts:
https://whoosh-motorsports.myshopif...t-driver-side-mount-free-shipping-on-all-cp-e

https://whoosh-motorsports.myshopif...assenger-side-mount-free-shipping-on-all-cp-e

I currently have the engine bolt, but should I get full mounts or inserts before changing this bolt?
It's a daily driver, with spirited driving on the weekends, some hard pulls from a stand still and hard shifting at times, but nothing I'd consider crazy.

all you really "need" is the bolt for preventative maintenance
the Powerflex link you have above is for the passenger side where the bolt is replaced. There is a good write up in my section with "how-to"
If you wanted to upgrade to Powerflex while you have it apart it's not a bad idea but certainly not mandatory. It will tighten things up a bit for sure.

The best mount to upgrade first is the rear torque mount. We have tons of options available (cp-e, VUDU, revo, AWR, Torque Solution)

Again, while upgrading the passenger side bolt, you'll need the Powerflex pineapple slice bushing for that mount

If you want both sides to have equal bushing insert durometer which is recommended, you'll need this kit for the driver side (trans mount) https://whoosh-motorsports.myshopify.com/products/powerflex-fiesta-st-transmission-mount-insert-street-or-race

I have the Turbo Tech Racing left and right side mounts and really don't like the NVH. I've bought a set of street inserts for the stock mounts and am going to swap them for the TTR mounts soon. That said, shifting and launching is much nicer with the TTR mounts but it's not worth the NVH, even for a seldom street driven fun car.

two years ago at brainerd drag strip I thought I broke one of the upper mounts. I swerved (torque steer) on the third gear shift. I had not shut off the bs traction control. the wrench light came on and all four brakes locked up and slammed me to a halt. ...I ordered two new mounts (stockers). while dissembling I found that the mounts didn't break the ears off but had slid on the way oversized bolt holes. furthermore the passenger mount did not really fit in the chassis properly and needed shims to sit flush (was reefing on the fenderwell really bad).
….. anyway sorry for the book but bottom line after realigning and spacing the mounts to prevent stretching and twisting the mounts make the engine seem much smoother.....boyracer

agreed, that is actually what I did, both inserts on top and upgraded bolt and a torque solution mount down low. Feels great

The inserts for both upper mounts are great, just got both sides in Street level in and the increase in vibes is small and WELL worth the performance for under $100 both sides... Powerflex is one of those MAP items where it's the same price everywhere, just get them from Ron along with your other goodies. :)
