Weird transmission sounds

So i’ve noticed and almost scratching type sound when my car is in neutral. and when depressing the clutch the sound goes away. anyone else have this problem? it’s very noticeable when i’m at a light and the windows are up. and can even be heard out side of the car.

about 23000 miles. perhaps. i’m gonna be brutally honest i’m new to this world of cars. but i do know this sound is not normal
