What grease to use for caliper pins?

Driving to work this morning my rear-passenger side brake was dragging a bit. Making a not so great sound. I'm going to jack the car up and take a look when I get home. What grease are you supposed to use for the pins? Has Anyone had issues like this?

Permatex sells some lubes that you can pick up at most Auto parts stores. They sell it in the little packages usually at the counter near the registers. extreme brake lube and more specific caliper pin lube.

I use a Permatex product, seems to work great. The slide pins tend to come with inadequate lubrication from the factory. Yank them, clean them & the hole they go into, do any sanding smoothing you think is needed, relube & assemble. I check them twice a year and relube as required. Many folks have this problem.

I usually just use anti-seize.

I usually use either the red high-temp brake grease or more recently silicone paste (it's like Frank's Red Hot, I put that sh*t on everything)

both suck though compared to other hot-sauces. Spent too much time in the Army and the only flavor available for all MRE and other food was Tabasco =)

Experiences with prior vehicle: Sometimes grease alone isn't enough. The problem is just too temporary and you're back needing to do the same thing in a year or less. The bore narrows and you have to hone it out a bit. Use steel-wire pipe cleaner brush attached to a high-speed A/C drill. The pins can be sanded using the same rotating brush. Before I developed that permanent solution, the best, longest lasting results seemed to come with Kendall's High Temp Super Blu L-427 Bearing Grease. (note: bad for rubber, might not affect silicon)

Ive tracked the hell out of my car and always use the Permatex Green. Only stuff that lasts up to track day heat.
