Thermal, nothing against Greddy but the Thermal looks better on our cars and it has an active Hemholtz filter that cancels drome.

Thermal drones less but I can’t get past paying that much for an exhaust without flanges.

You would cry then over the cost of a GR Corolla aftermarket exhaust system😂.

I wouldn’t even care what it costs to get rid of the stupid 3 tailpipe exhaust. One center or both sides, not both’!

not all hemholtz filters are equal, but the one with the thermal works great. I have hemholtz with my Ark-D exhaust on my civic and the drone a lot more pronounced than the Thermal on my Fiesta.
also keep in mind an aftermarket downpipe will change things notably and can increase some drone. I do get a bit more drone after I got a Cobb downpipe w gesi cat, but definitely tolerable.
tbh I found the Thermal a tad too mild without downpipe. Visually it doesn't call out attention as well if thats what you prefer.

Definitely no such comments on my GReddy although I have only ran it with aftermarket exhaust manifold, turbo, and downpipe. Shit is loud

I love the sound of my Thermal R&D Exhaust CAT Back system in EVERY GEAR!!! Start up and idle lets people know this isn't just another econobox car! 2nd, 3rd and 4th pull hard and throaty! I've owned the car for 2 weeks and don't even know how to operate the radio!! The Thermal Exhaust is All the awesome sounds I want to hear!!

Check this video out on You Tube: It has the top 5 Best selling A/M exhaust systems with Live Sound clips on our car at start up, idle, under acceleration and even has pricing. It is from Aug 17, 2021 so prices are probably not accurate but relative in todays world.
Great for helping make exhaust sound decisions.

Could not agree more with this!!

That 'styling cue' is absolutely ridiculous and gauche, to say the least!

One large center exit tip, just like their WRC cars have/had, would be just fine, less weight, and less complexity. [wink]

hmmm gauche? Aren’t we being a tad overly dramatic😂 Hmm 3 cylinders 3 pipes I guess . I do not think it looks terrible they did it somewhat tastefully and in case both of you did not have know its setup for more flow at certain engine rpm’s . They did not just slap a three outlet exhaust on the car for the sake of looks the middle one is valved and it opens or closes depending on speed and rpm.
They put a fair amount of thougjht into the design of the car performance wise . Remember it’s pushing 300 hp stock out of a 1.6 3 banger that’s pretty damn impressive Ford did not even pull that off.
So ya hate on it say it looks ugly function over form is the racers rule. 😂

They could have done the flow valving thing with just a single center outlet just as easily. [wink]

But yes, to the 'function over form' thing, since I am not all that enamored of the looks of that ride to begin with (or even the front clip of the Yaris version, which I really like otherwise), but yes, hard to argue with the net result of it's (albeit still too large/weighty in my opinion) sum, performance wise. Agree that’s the rule, for race cars. On a street car, it can’t be ugly. There are plenty of good options to remedy it

Actually It’s between the Tomei Titanium one exit per side or the Remark dual center. Both are being considered for weight reduction and sound as the stock exhaust is a little on the tame side of things note wise besides low rpm and idle. Which is where it tends to growl a bit.

One year later just to say one word (and a pic): F40

Mid engine V-8 vs. front engine 3 pot.

I personally do not even like the two tips per side on the Scoobie STIs and WRXes.

One exhaust exit in the center, like the original Gazoo Racing, WRC Rally 1 Yaris had previously, would be cool as well.
