Windshield washer pump gremlins

So I had my front end apart yesterday and realized my pump snapped and all my fluid drained. So I ordered a new pump and installed it today. Rear nozzle is working fine. However, when I push in on the stalk to spray my front windshield it continues to spray the rear. No mind you, i have never had this issue prior to replacing the pump. Any ideas?

shameless self bump. Sometimes it works. i dont know why

Did they both work prior to you replacing the part?
If the SE part is the same. I can search in my storage for my oem one since I ripped it out of the car to shed weight.

Yes they both worked prior. Now they work when they want to.
