My name is Geoff, and I compete around the US in car audio sound quality competitions.

I compete mainly in MECA (Mobile Electronics Competition Association) in the Modified Street sound quality class.

My equipment list as it sits is as follows:
Helix P Six DSP
PhD AF1.c Tweeters
Audible Physics Ram6.5 Mids
Earthquake SWS-12x Sub

I had my build playing for the first time, the day before the show. I spent about 2 hours tuning it, and I received first place in my class.

Here are some pictures of my car and the trophy.

Let me know what you guys think.

lol. If you sent me your A-pillars, I could fiberglass them to fit a tweeter or something ;)

I do have a buddy up in NY that does some fantastic work though if you are interested.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the trophy. Any pictures of the DSP location and the subwoofer install?

It's kind of an eclectic combination of drivers, but good to read they worked out well in the end.

Yeah, I can get some later. It's not cleaned up like it should be right now, but it will be cleaned up before the next show I host at Parts Express in Dayton.

I picked the drivers based on what I needed and what would work. Matching brands mean nothing to me ;)

After a long season, I went to finals a couple weekends ago and placed 3rd in my class. The spread between 1st and 3rd was a single point.

Congrats! Makes me want to get back into an audio setup of some sort. :(
Thanks!

You should! I don't do any SPL stuff, so there isn't much weight added, and it actually looks pretty bad ass with a 2" driver in A pillars wrapped in Alcantara ;)

Here are some updated pictures.

They look great! I'm trying to figure out something huge that's easily removable for track days and such. I have some ideas, we'll see. Sadly go fast parts are still a higher priority. One day i'll get that where I want it to be and start with the rest. :)

Great Job! What tweeters are you using. They look different from the pictures previously posted. Really clean, may have to send you some pillars!

I'm actually running tweeterless. I'm using the Audible Physics Ram 2a for the top end, and the Ram 6 for the mid.

I actually have my pillars that originally were in the car that have tweeter pods.

I may re-cover them with a different fabric, but if you are interested, I am more than willing to sell them.

Why size are they and what were you thinking on price? I'm thinking about going 3 way. Not sure yet. What are your midranges that you used and what do they go up to? You can pm me if would rather do that.
