A lot of you already know, but I have been working on a internal wastegate actuator upgrade with Turbosmart for a bit now. I started with one of their off the shelf units and made changes from there. I tested a few different spring combinations and pre-loads, and landed on a unique combination that works VERY well. Here is an outline of the benefits and dynographs from my personal 2015 Fiesta ST, as well the purchase link.

- Consistent, and more predictable boost

- Cures all part throttle boost surging, which is VERY noticeable on Fiesta ST's running higher boost levels

- Prevents boost spike during post-shift recovery, which can cause throttle closures

- Increases high rpm boost levels by 1-3psi

- Flatter torque curve

- 8-10whp

how complex is the install? im not too turbo savvy
The hardest part is getting the factory heatshields off. I did my on and off in about an hour, about 20 minutes of that was pulling off the heatshields.

They will come preloaded and marked so you don't have any guess work.

I did a batch of 30 mustang and 10 fiesta, but it looks like I might have to switch that up. I already have 6 of these sold!

I installed a downpipe and recalled the heatshield was a beeotch to try to get off without having to remove the hard coolant lines to the turbo, so I just moved it aside and was able to complete the downpipe install. I'm down for getting one of your specific Turbosmart IWG, but have to think about it first... if I want to wrestle with that heatshield.

I switched them out on the EFR turbo for a great improvement so sure they are a nice addition to the stock turbo and the Cyborg, which I like far better than the stock one, I did have the first Cyborg, first EFR, etc....

Yea, I love these actuators. They work even better when you dial in the spring configuration/pre-load on smaller turbos. I run my EFR's with the Turbosmart BOV and the IWG ;).

I'll probably get one with your e-tune next year :)
Sounds good, I'm running a deal right now. $25.00 off an E-tune when you purchase an actuator!

Right around 300/300 on 91 Octane at 4200 ft, it was tuned at 5100 ft elevation, stopped tuning due to moving to NV and then decided to change to GTX2860R but bad knee has kept me from working on the car stealthily in a storage unit since we are full time RVing now. I am looking for a heated garage to work in or waiting until we head south for the winter and find a place there.

The EFR is great and can make much more power, I have the 5th injector setup but not installed, it spools about like the GTX2876R and I need it to come on a bit sooner so trying the 60R next.

----------------

Back on topic, the Turbosmart upgrade is well worth it:)

Adam, what is the difference between the Turbosmart WA being sold for the FiST by other companies and the WA you are selling....or are they the same and will this one function better specifically on the FiST. I apologize if this has been asked.
