Hey guys, first and foremost, I want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding as we worked to resolve this issue.

Now on to the great news! Our first batch of the resized fittings have arrived and we are ready to send them out ASAP.



If you are running our induction hose or performance intake with the new adapter and have gotten an evap code on your 2016+ Fiesta ST, please send us a PM on here or contact our CS team at support@mishimoto.com at your earliest convenience so we can get your shipping information to have one of these fittings sent out to you. To start, we have a limited amount that we can send, so for now we'd only like to send these to those who have actually had codes thrown. Based on the amount of people who have contacted us for that, we should have you all covered. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
If we already filled out a trouble ticket through your customer support system, do we still need to get back in contact, or are we already on the list?

If you went through support@mishimoto.com to specifically request a new fitting, then you should be taken care of. If not, please submit another ticket to request one of these new fittings and we will have one sent out to you!

Umm... I didn't file the ticket to specifically request a new fitting. I'm the one who filed a ticket to tell you what was wrong and how to fix it. I guess I'll file a new one

How do you remove the hose clamp that holds the "faulty" fitting? It's like a permanent worm gear clamp that I cant get off. I don't want to go cutting up my adapter.

If it's the pinch type, stick a flat head screwdriver under the "flap" and leverage it up and over the small tab holding it in place.

Those are "Oetiker" clamps. As LilPartyBox said, pry it open, or just cut it. At least you got yours. I got lost in the noise, and when I reopened my ticket today, the story was almost too bizarre to make sense of. For selfish reason's, I'll save my story for now. I just want to get rid of the taped up stupidity on a 5 month old car.

On second thought... screw it, the forum deserves to know what they're getting. First off, one would think I would at least be on their mind (you know, for telling them how to fix their product), but no. So I re-opened my trouble ticket. Believe it or not, the customer service rep had no idea the replacement parts were available. To his credit, before I told him that they existed, he offered to send me the replacement prototype. I don't fault him. But seriously? WTF????

Have fun at SEMA kids. Don't worry about those of us who already spent money.

I sent them an email immediately following their post saying the new fittings are available. They said I would get mine quickly because my address is close to their Newark, Delaware building. I guess this is where they are shipping from. Now to see if it works... I still need to install it. Thanks for the help with the Oetiker clamp.

Google "Oetiker clamp installation tool". You can probably get away with needle nose vice grips...maybe.

They include a hose clamp to replace the Oetiker clamp. If you want to stick with an Oetiker clamp, any plumber could help you out, if you're friends with one. It's the same tool and clamps they use for Pex.

Mishimotto, what if you constantly keep getting a p04db code which is crank case ventilation disconnected code? Only happens if you go wot after a while.

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday!

It's been almost a month since we have made these adapters available to send out to everyone, and we'd just like to check in on those who have replaced this piece. Our engineers wanted to let some time pass by so you guys can really log some mileage and report back if need be before we make this change to the kit. I haven't heard from anyone saying that the light has returned as of now, but it's important that we are sure that this will fix the issue.

Has anyone seen this code return after installing the newly sized fitting? If you have received one of these new fittings supplied by us, please respond with detailed information about which product you have (induction hose or full intake kit) and how many miles you have put on the car since installing the new fitting with either comment in this thread or sending a PM letting us know if you're still code-free or not. Thank you to everyone who has helped out, your patience is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I installed my new adapter this past weekend and have put about 200 miles on the car since then. No code thrown as of yet. I have the full intake. Just as a heads up to anyone installing the new adapter...don't push the new adapter too far into the hose! I pushed it in too far and it was a pain to pull it back out enough to allow the fitting to clamp correctly.

I have yet to install the new adapter, as i have not had any CEL come up ever since I thickened up the 2 fittings for my Induction Hose for a tighter seal. I know for sure that in my case, I had to thicken up both fittings to resolve the Code issue. This has been 500+ miles ago.

Hmm.. how close is this from being resolved and solid solution developed? I am considering buying the silicone intake hose from Mishi, mostly because its the most "stockish" looking and requires no cutting of anything... but not sure if I want to deal with potential codes.

I got tired of waiting for CP-E and when they said something is coming, something about a cut line :(... not sure why they did not consider providing a fully revised line. I'd prefer to get an intake setup during holiday sales lol... but that pretty much means I cant use it until spring time (not going to install in the cold).

I just got the P144C code yesterday after putting a couple thousand miles on the intake hose. Just sent an email to Mishimoto requesting the updated fitting.

Thanks for the interest! Implementing the official design change to this product so it includes the updated adapter will take a bit longer, so we are having another larger batch of fittings made to cover those who want this product sooner. If you want to get our Induction Hose for the 2016+ Fiesta ST, you can order it on our website and then put a ticket in to support@mishimoto.com saying you need the updated fitting. They will have one sent out to you once they are available, which should be right before Christmas! Or you can wait until we officially announce that these fittings are ready to go and order them then.

As a quick fix, our customers using the Induction Hose have wrapped electrical tape around the existing PCV fitting and that seems to hold up well, so I would suggest doing that if you want the product sooner.
