Oooh, the new type r is amazing. Personal opinion they look too “bat mobile” to me but the performance is undeniable. Price tag a bit high but again, paying for performance. Fiesta st = less money = more money for mods! Even at MSRP plus $3500 you can have a type r killer for 3/4 the price. Just my 2 cents. I’m sure whatever you decide you will be happy!

Ya that's kind of where I'm at...I've sacked away some cash since I started this thread to use as a down payment on the type r...but the more I let it all merinade...I'm really liking the idea of just getting the fist and keeping that cash in the bank 
And progressing it to a big turbo setup over the next year...

Actually hit that link and went to the dealers website the 19k price is after the Ford 3k retail cash deal. It's on the dealers website. You assume a lot without looking at prices closely.
I also hit up local dealers in your area and checked out there pricing and it's pretty much national average of 17,500 at the lowest( if you qualify ) and around 19k for base model 2017 ST's with minimal options.
Been shopping these cars for awhile because of a specific color combo's I wanted.
The only times I have prices in the high 15k to 16k range is when the dealer has advertised the car with every availbe discount and rebate applied that one person most likely will not qualify for. Or offered deals that are very specific to the region only which usually means there is more in the fine print.
Another trick is to advertise a great price and the put in the fine print does not include dealer added options.
Like a certain dealer in the southwest that has the car I want for $19483 but has added dealer tint, car paint protection( that has to be renewed every six months) and locking wheel lugs, and get ready for this for 2k more .
Pretty crafty stuff they wind selling the car for exactly what they really want. Even though it's advertised below invoice. Oh and you will battle with them hard to not pay for that crap.
A lot of these dealers are bastards when it comes to car sales.
Do not believe what you see, it's quite often smoke and mirrors. The car buying game is not simple unless you lay down for their price. Or you find a straightforward dealer.
Even then you might not get the deal.
I am on my third local dealer and most likely penciling a deal on a ordered 2018 because it only comes out to 1k more than what I would have got the 2017 for.
Oh and yes the east coast does seem to be about 1k below the west coast on base model prices.
P.S. Have looked at Koons and seen them be both good and average sometimes.
Dealers do this sometimes quite often what they do is put the full MSRP price for the car up in the add then put a dealer discount aka the 2250 in bonus cash underneath that. After that the put Fords Rebate.
It's a way of making it look like your saving more than you might as the MSRP all options on the car price is just the arbitrary number Ford has specified what the car could see for.
MSRP on all but high demand cars is completely misleading as its not what the dealers ever expect to sell the car for . Though it can be used to make the deal look sweeter. Lol
If not that the additional bonus cash can be be other stackable discounts that are available from Ford .i.e. Farm bureau discount, military discount,first time buyer, etc...
Do your research, these guys are out to make money and sell you the car for as much as they can. Do not underestimate them or think they are just going to give you the greatest deal possible.

In GA most dealers try to charge a Doc Fee of $800 to $1000 plus try to ad marketing fees and such. Had one with a "taxable " fees of $125 and a "Non taxable fees of $75....Could never tell me what they were for. Way too many of the prices people claimed on this thread cannot be backed up with invoices.

I do not think thats a bad deal at all. Lets hope the new incentives are better as if they are Ford will allow me to apply them as my build date is not till April.
