Would you install fog light DRL?

The states have them off as default, where as most other places mandates manufactures to have drl

Partially correct.
The USDM FiST does not have DRLs wired into them so they cannot be turned on or off.
Therefore for any lighting to be used as DRLs, wiring would need to be added.

I just have my Fogs wired to be DRLs.

How did you go about doing that? That is something id love to do with mine! I hate how useless they are as they only turn on with the headlights currently.
