Not sure if this has been asked before. I looked but didn't see anything and I'm in a hurry. Anyone have a good idea what the cost of the 10k mile service is and whether or not it's required for the warranty? Thank you.

Mine only cost around $50 but I brought my own oil (Mobil1 EP) so if I'd used their oil it would have been around $85-$100. All they really did was change the oil, rotate tires,do the multi-point inspection, and a state inspection. I can't tell if they did the Ford 10k checklist or not but I told them to. I had only 4k miles on the car but it was 1 year old so I was following the letter of the schedule: 10k miles but no more than 1 year.
I do think it's important to follow the maintenance schedule to preserve your warranty.

Wash and wax? Guess I'm almost 2.5 times overdue LoL. Never heard of a 10,000 mile service on a modern vehicle. The Tie-Rod ends and ball joints are sealed. Changed my oil three times before it hit 10k.

Exactly , it's a ploy to make money made up by the dealership. The 100 point inspection is where the mechanic goes outside and mows down a Marlboro red while you're cars on the rack. That or they'll try to convince you into a fuel system cleaning .

............. while you're cars on the rack. .............
I thought you were going to say 'while your car's on the race track' LoL. Could be there too. I busted a mechanic and his passenger car detailer hook-sliding in the parking lot when I left the waiting area at the Ford dealership. I was just standing looking out a small window in a door and didn't expect to see my car whiz by at high RPM followed by a long screech. Doing nearly everything myself or with help since then, it was literally a decade before I let my car out of sight with another mechanic.

BTW, despite the press, this mechanic is doing *exactly* what he's supposed to be doing. Best place to test the air conditioner is either in a traffic jam, and/or in a drive-through fetching lunch. As far as what was captured on video, nothing wrong with what this guy is doing.
