intakes like injen and fws will fill that lack of bov noise
a thousand times this

there is no reason to install a blowoff valve or diverter valve on these cars for performance and if you want the noise, a sufficiently free flowing intake will give you all the blow-off-valve "PSHHH" noise you could ever want. With the Injen, for sure, people in other cars WILL hear you

but but but, what if my inner ricer demands an blow-off valve? You are telling me all those PSssssh sounds from F&F movies are not valid sir? [neener]

There was this dude in the SoCal Focus ST/Fiesta ST group that kept going on about how he was going to add a BOV from Boomba racing and a Wastegate actuator... even though there is ZERO reason to do that... Kev and I tried to warn this dude that he shouldn't be screwing with those since the car's BPV is already integrated into the turbo - it was really hard to feel sorry for him at all when he screwed it up, wastegate didn't open, overboosted motor and BOOM there went cyl 3 and 4 - and that BOV is a definite warranty voider lol - so 100% of the repair was on him

I don't feel one bit of empathy for people who try so hard to be stupid.

airjor did say ricer. I wonder if someone has gone insane enough to replicate the sound of a whoopee cushion with a BOV....

I've noticed a nice increase in the sound just doing the drop in filter. Had a couple of people say they could hear me across the parking lot at work. I am curious how the Injen/FSWerks sound.

With Injen people in other cars will hear you, YOU will hear it all the time for sure...

I have to agree with what's being said about the injen, it is very loud, my sister could hear me coming from quite a distance down the block.

But I'm saving you money! You can get the BOV sound AND an Intake at the same time for $200-300 vs a BOV plus an Intake at $450-600

ECONOMY!
