Another thought...China is looking to enter our market with some of their stuff also...as bad as that may sound it might be fruitful! [ridinghorse]

Fords looking for an 8% profit margin . Trucks are the means to get there. Like has been said they may be caught with their pants down if gas rises .

The Fiesta will live on for one more year, as shown with the VIN discussion at the beginning of the post. The Focus dies next week, but comes back as the "Active" from China next year.

Would be great to see a fist model for 2019 yet. I could see buying one then as mine would be up there in miles at that point.

In your opinion; WILL the RS models of ANYTHING live on/rise from the ashes in England, Europe, R.O.W. as they have in the past, or do hatchet man Hackett's policies reign absolutist terror EVERYWHERE?!?!

The ST, RS will live on, likely back to being EUDM only. We can yearn from afar, like the old days of 6-7 years ago.

I think you have it backwords the Focus will live on one more year. I just got my build date and its last week in May.

My fleet guy said the Fiesta is officially in the grave. He says its the Focus that will have one more year, before turning into a crossover. Plus I am seeing it on dwindling lot numbers all over for 2018 Fiesta’s(and 2017’s left on lots).
I search this stuff and compared to the numbers at this time in 2017 it shows dealers are not stocking or ordering anymore 2018’s than they have.

In Europe both cars will live om because they sell.

Were you as surprised at that timing statement as i was? I would have guessed Fiesta gone first, then Focus. Focus actually has a take rate and dealers stock them. Fiesta is what fills odd corners. Or, maybe Fiesta is going into fleets builds only. Hello Hertz and Budget.

What part of a Focus assembled by someone who was steering a one furrow plow being pulled by an OX sounds appealing?Im not joking. No thanks. You can have the one intended for me.

In the case of Ford RS specials, it has been WAY WAY LONGER THAN just 6-7 years ago I have been LUSTING for that product (like Escort Cossie RS/WRC, and all of the way back to the old RWD Escort RSes. [:(]).

Lol! Ditto... However, the RS is a rare beastie even in its home market..

Hmm. Color me skeptical. You believe everything you read on the internet? Lol, I will wait till i see further evidence. Plus it makes no sense for Ford to kill the car ( Focus) that currently sells more of the pair( Focus, Fiesta).

KUDOS! [thumb]
Just like I am NOT going to support a former commie country (currently a FASCIST, KLEPTOCRATIC, AUTOCRACY, so I guess they are A OK/'friends' to certain types in THIS land now? [dunno]) which is destroying our democracy, and helping install despotic tin pot dictators into power HERE! [nono]

Just say NO to [gunfire]->Lukoil!!!

(OOPS! Just broke my own rule, oh well. )

You know what thats not from Fords mouth thats from a site that claims to expert vin decoders and thats what they are basing it . Oh and they had one exc make a vague non commital remakr. Meanwhile in financial news its gets announced that Ford is officially ending the Fiesta next week. You might want to try and start following financial news if you want the real skinny and not speculation.

When you manage investmenrs and have investments to mange you follow stuff and the street gets news quite often before websites and general public.
Fortunately check out Yahoo financial news cause its there and that is more reliable than a vin decoder website that speculates.

You can go on doubting lol. Its not just fleet managers talking.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Lol
