I’m planning on building my 2017 FiST and looking to make around 275-300. I have some ideas for the build including forged internals, ported and polished block, bigger turbo, full suspension rebuild. Any other ideas for things to do to make this car fast as f%#k??

Yeah its already got forged internals...FYI.....If your going for that power level....id roll an MRX/X47r/X37/Whoosh hybrid. Your figure can be done with pretty much all stock engine internals. Id First start out small...RMM....AP3 with a flash tune....Larger intercooler....ST200 Airbox.....High flow panel filter.....ETC and random crap that just looks nice

Thanks man I appreciate it. I’m just getting into modern cars, used to old built up shitboxes😂

Make any decisions yet?
I’m probably gonna end up going for an X47R and upgrade some other things. I wanna end up with a rally spec car for the most part. Getting a sequential gearbox too

That’ll be the shit. Are racing it or just building?

Take a look at Whoosh's hybrid or a X-47 (non-R). The X-47R seems to have some reliability issues.

Have you driven a sequential dog box on the street before? Super fun 5% of the time, super annoying the rest of the time and the dogs need to be replaced often - the harder you bang it the more it likes it, but trying to get to the market to buy a gallon of milk rips those things apart.

Yup, and pretty much UN-DRIVEABLE in ANY stop and go traffic at all. [:(]

Yeah - In the 80's had a friend with an FB RX-7 track car with a dog box who, due to some financial challenges, tried to drive on the street. That lasted for a short week and he sold the car to buy something that was streetable. A nice, easy 1-2 or 2-1 shift in LA traffic was impossible, but super fun late at night or on Mulholland, shifting hard @ 8500.

^^^The clanging and banging even getting it into first with the clutch (especially with an 'on-off switch' racing clutch), let alone the straight cut gear SCREAM at speed, would be unbearable on the street. [:(]

You could put a second FiST drivetrain in the back and have twin turbo 8 cylinder all wheel drive goodness
