Well for the 1st time at about 84k miles on my 2014 ST i have my 1st real issue. I got check engine light and 2 codes popped up P1450 and P2282. The car has recently started to stutter at idle and sometimes even stall at a light once the car is fully warmed up at operating temps. Other than the stuttering at idle the car drives and performs the same as normal. I run a Cobb stage 2 OTS map with cobb drop in filter, mountune intake tube, ATP intercooler with hot side pipe. Been running this setup since about 11k miles with no issues. Changed plugs with new motorcraft plugs at about 71k miles.

Anyone else run into this issue?

Did you ever find a solution? My car is doing the same thing with the same mods. I wonder if a new tune would fix?

Getting the P1450 using the supposed excellent '16+ Mountune induction hose with their included fix and get the stumbling and dies once too... and this is on a Dizzy tune, so it seems like the induction fix they include is definitely not as good as made out to be!

Lol that is a fuel tank vacuum code its probably your charcoal cannister evap purge valve by the fuel tank and it won’t release vacuum . It could be full of fuel, not the first time I have heard of that happening. It is not related to your intake tube lol.

I get that code from time to time after fill up. I tend to insert and reinsert the pump a few times before picking up the gas cap and that seems to help prevent it.

If I forget is when I see it pop up

So I know about the evap issues but I thought that's exactly what the wrong intake adapter exacerbated... I don't have self serve where I live so I have no control over venting the tank properly unfortunately.

Keep your mind out of the gutter but you can try this.
Use the funnel you have by the spare tire use some spray lubricant, and insert the funnel pull out repeat.

Actually excellent idea, I'll have to find that thing. Would be easy to just get out and vent the tank after they just hang it up abruptly.

I know what the evap thing is so why did my issues only start after installing my induction tube? Isn't that exactly what that adapter is related to? I wouldn't have posted this if it wasn't directly related...

I already explained it and so did FordST . Your code is a fuel tank specific code. Its not the code that gets thrown by the intake tube issue.
By your statement above really seems like your either A: looking for a scapegoat to blame on the problem aka the Mountune intake or B: Just assumed without investigating i.e.e reading up on stuff.
Just accept the fact and eat some pie.

A. Maybe you can't read, I clearly said it didn't start until right after installed it. B. The intake adapter for '16+ is very often called the evap adapter and can throw codes with bad ones, so go re-read point A... C. I've been reading about this shit for the last 18 months. So D.Quit being a douche bag and laughing at people because you think are so much smarter than them when you barely explained dick until this last post. Da fuq is your problem man? Starting in with the "LOL's" on your first post, would it have been that hard to just explain right the first time without being a dick?

From Ford:
Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0446 or P1450 indicates that Self-Test has detected the Evaporative Emission Control System has excessive fuel tank vacuum. Also, a DTC P0446 indicates a vent control malfunction.

Possible causes:

EVAP canister purge outlet tube (EVAP canister purge valve to EVAP canister) blockages or kinks.
EVAP canister tube (fuel tank to EVAP canister) blockages or kinks.
Fuel vapor elbow on EVAP canister contaminated.
Restricted EVAP canister.
Canister vent (CV) solenoid stuck closed (partially or fully).
Plugged or contaminated CV solenoid filter.
EVAP canister purge valve stuck open.
Fuel filler cap stuck closed (no vacuum relief).
VREF circuit open in fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor.
Damaged FTP sensor.

Here is a page about the P2282 code:
https://www.obd-codes.com/p2282

The 2282 code suggests to me that air/vacuum is leaking from your newly installed induction hose.

The first hose I had from mountune had a small tear in it near the adapter, I would check to make sure everything is sealed up nice and tight.

They sent me a replacement hose within a few days and then new one has held up well.

A: I can read fine. B: The codes the intake adapter can throw are different codes than the one you reported.
C: I am not being a douchebag I am calling you on your misinformation. Quite often go off half cocked before reading up on things and don’t always get things right. You also are never one to admit it till its thrown hard in your face
D:
I lol‘d becuase of the fact that you did not do your homework and now you are BS’s ing and trying to and cover up that fact

You have mislead people including myself with comments about stuff you did nor actually have first hand experience or knowledge of.

Maybe just maybe you should read up on the stuff before posting and your problem would be corrected without you posting the wrong info and then getting all butt hurt when your called on it.

I am not being a Dick and the fact that you resulted to insults is pretty defensive. If you are seriously that hurt by lol you should not be posting on the internet.

The P1450 can be caused from a leak at the connector to the intake tube. Make sure this is seated all the way and not leaking. If you have one of those ridiculous adapters for the 16+ lines, make sure that the connections are all tight and you have no tears in the hose. These adapters are hit and miss, the car is looking for a fairly specific set of values in determining whether or not to set the code. Basically its saying its either not able to bleed the vacuum in the fuel tank fast enough, so either you have an issue with your EVAP system or you have an issue with your cap-less filler.

IMO: remove your adapter, and get the OE Lines from Ford for 14-15. I have them on my 2019. Have never had this code, have never had a stumble, have never had it stall. Do what is known to work instead of a maybe.
