I've been hearing a lot about these tires, but mostly in regards to RWD ad AWD cars. I've been somewhat dissatisfied with my Rival S 1.5s, especially their performance in colder weather (I live in in Alaska), so was thinking this might be an option, especially if I could find a way to squeeze the under 225/50R15s under my wheel wells.

Thoughts?

I am considering them for even just street summer use on my 17x8s in a 215/40-17, as they are about the widest tread width available out there in that given size, and I LOVE that tarmac rally 'intermediate' tread pattern but yeah, that price is a little 'off-putting' for street use.
IF I knew for sure that they would not scream like the banshees that are the federal RS-RRs on those wheels currently, I would for them despite their exorbitant co$t. [wink]

I heard these things are really damn good on wet tracks. I couldn’t believe the numbers an stx brz was throwing down on these things. These will be my go to if I run a 8 inch wheel in future

I’ve been running the A052’s (215/40 R17) on 17x7.7” wheels for about 2500 miles and 1 autox. Great tire. Nothing but grip grip grip. I don’t expect to get a lot o miles, but they are a confident inspiring tire. Pretty much a competition street tire. If you can afford them get them. You won’t be disappointed.

On GRM they are saying(and showing photos) that on camber challenged cars the A052's are not holding up. They started chunking the outside shoulders on camber challenged cars after 10 runs at the 2019 Solo Nats.

If you add camber supposedly they are faster than the RE71Rs and Rival 1.5S.

Yeah, I had seen a couple posts about the quick wear- I just don't know how much camber I could dial in with bolts on that wide a tire without moving to coilovers. I may have to go to coils anyway, as I don't have much clearance left when doing hard corners on my 225/45R15 Rivals. tire_gap.JPG
