I will start off by saying ....SirThomas88....your Holder is of very high quality and the time and effort on your part is fantasmagorical!

1. Step unbox this awesome display of 3D printing! The only other non Razzter.com part you will need is the holder for the AP3 that is supplied by Cobb.

2. Get the base and the Arm and put them together.

3. Now Grab the Arm and get the AP3 mounting plate with three holes and put it onto the Arm.

4. Mount it to the A-pillar of the FiST. This will hook around the A-pillar trim and wrap around towards you and hook into the other side of the A-pillar underneath the rubber door trim seal.trim under the rubber seal

5. Now mount the Cobb AP3 holder Bracket on the Razzter.com mounting plate. If you can't figure this out you are an idiot and please hit yourself over the head with a tack hammer.

6. Mount your Ap3 to your new found friend The Razzter.com holder and go do some Datalogs if your into that kind of thing!

7. Or get yourself a [emoji481]! And hangout with a man's best friend!

You can also get yourself one here ....

Thanks Again SirThomas88!

Thank you @TyphoonFiST for your nice writeup and pictures man!

I'm not currently offering the AP Mount in colors other than Black for simplicity... BUT for cool people like @TyphoonFiST and anyone else on this forum, I'm happy to do a special print order, such as a color that I offer for one of my other products. Just send me a PM for any questions.

@SirThomas88, I respectfully request a second display mount option for the AP. While it is fine where it is, I found another location to be better suited for my preferences. Perhaps others could look at the pic and chime in with their opinion. I'd like the be the 2nd, after you, to test one out. I would be willing to trade in my mount. I have to go to my dentist in Gburg in July, so we might be cable to meet up that day.

FYI, the round piece on the mount is a magnet. I have a metal plate on the back of my AP so I can attach it to ANY phone's mag dash mount, which I have been doing. Why did Cobb reverse their design from every other phone in the world? Anybody?

EDIT: omg...I called Cobb and got, imho, a lame excuse...."when the V3 was designed, 2004/5, there was no standard for dash mounting electronic devices such as phones, ipods, etc., so we designed ours with the magnets in the AP".
SERIOUSLY? no standard? how far back in time is TX from the rest of the world. Magnets on the dash holder and metal plates in or attached to the phone or case has been standard longer than that, right? Answers like this get me riled up...or maybe I'm just old and ornery...yeah, oaky, now get off my lawn, damn kids!......

Very interesting what you did with attaching the magnet to the mount! This is the first example I've seen yet of someone utilizing that extra mount I include. I'm glad to see it put to good use!

I always appreciate feedback on my products and love hearing the ideas! I can see how moving it out to that location could have some benefit. However there's a few challenges and costs on my side that I have to take into account that unfortunately probably make it not worth it to make this design change for my product right now. Adding the extra length to the arm of the mount may add some vibration/bounce. My inventory management would be impacted as it'd only make sense for me to stock one design or the other so I'd have to discontinue my existing mount design and replace it with this one. Buying bigger poly bag packaging to fit the bigger arm. Plus the time to redesign it and test it when I have other products waiting for me to work on.

However I do take on custom projects, depending on how badly you want the mount in the other location may be worth it to you. If you'd like, PM me and I can work out a quote for you for the custom project and you can decide if you want to proceed with that direction. Regardless, I appreciate the suggestion and will think on it to see if I should make that modification to the product, and if I do you'll be the first to know!

Understood. I figured it might bounce more. I was also considering a mount that goes between the vent and the dash (two arms the slide and lock in or a mount that goes into the dash shroud (see the right side of my pic and you'll see a vent magnet there, but it falls off too easily.
Sorry, it's not in my budget for anything custom.

!
Actually I was gonna do the same thing with mine but for my phone. I have a Cobb mount right on th side of my center screen so it is right in my line of view between the gauge cluster and center screen. I used to have the pro clip a pillar mount but it got jacked randomly when someone rifled a bunch of cars in a local parking lot here. So I am going to use yours instead as its a bit longer which is better.
