It's kind of hard (impossible to?) to argue against a (IMHO good looking), flow formed, 12 lb. wheel for $180.00 each. [wink] [twothumb]

I don't recall whether I asked this already but what's everyone going with in regards to tires?
Nankangs?
RS-RR's?
RT660s?
888s?

Guess I need to start shopping for lug nuts too

I went with 205/50R15 Federal 595 RS-RR Load Range XL Tire from a seller on ebay mainly because they were only $79 each on ebay with free shipping. Figured they will run a little bigger probably more like a 215 and if I don't end up liking them it wont hurt the wallet as bad as other tires which are twice as much. I originally wanted to run the R888's in 225/45/R15. Maybe next season.

I really hope these show up before the next autox event I go to, I’m about to need new tires and don’t want to replace the tires on my 16’s. I think I might try out the Yokohama A052’s. I think I need to figure out how to get more camber while I’m waiting.

So while I'm eagerly anticipating their arrival, I had a thought -

How many folks are still on the stock suspension?

I'm am, and now I'm wondering if the wheel gap is gonna look stupid.

What size(s) are you looking at? 225/50r15 and other similar sizes for the A052s are pretty pricey from what I'm seeing. They seem to be very good tires, but I wonder if it's worth the extra over something like an RT660

I plan on going 225/45R15 in a Federal RS-RR to start. Cheap and effective to see how i like the gearing.

Not the same wheel, but here are my 205/45R15 660s on TDs with Swift Springs and B6s (sorry for the pic quality):

I would try a 225/50/15, only a little taller than the 215/45/16 I’m currently running. I have ran the RE71R, RT660, and the Rival S on this car and I would have to say the RT660 is my favorite of the three but my second set had center rib issues, which lead me to try the Rivals which I am currently running.
That being said the A052s seem to be without a doubt the fastest tire for autocross, but it does have its downsides. They work best on cars with large amounts of camber, they wear more aggressively and I have been told they can drop off performance wise fairly quickly. I’m still considering giving the RT660 a second chance but I will also have to find a place that that has them in stock. Last I checked Tire Rack said they were back ordered until June.
