P219A - and extremely high fuel rail pressure

P219A code appeared (“Bank 1 air fuel ratio imbalance”), with no noticeable symptoms. I used scan tool to pull diagnostics and noticed my fuel rail pressure was around 2000 psi. Quick search shows fuel rail pressures should be closer to 100 psi.

I cleaned the MAF sensor and cleared the code, drove for about 40 miles and the code has not reappeared, but the fuel rail pressure has not changed.

Any advice to resolve this issue? Is my fuel pressure really that high, or do I have a bad sensor? I’m not sure where to start in my troubleshooting approach.

From my understanding when I looked into this with the same code (among others), high side fuel pressure should be around that PSI (which I assume is what your monitors are referencing). Low side fuel pressure should be ~80 on idle and ~100 on throttle, from what I read.

For me, I replaced my purge valve first. It seemed to fix the issues, but then the same issues came up (sputtering and stalling, along with a P008B code). I then replaced the low side fuel pressure sensor, which cured everything.

These cars do not have MAF sensor* for The love of god. It's just for Temperature sensing. They are MAP based systems. The fuel pressure on the Lowside fuel pump in the tank should be 80-100psi then it comes through the High Pressure Fuel Pump and ramps the pressure for the DI system .2k doesnt seem to far off of spec though.

It’s literally in the exact same spot as a MAF sensor, and looks just like one. Why is it odd that someone would mistake it for one?
I clearly confused nominal low side values with high side. I think I’m good now, since the code hasn’t come back.

I mistook the low side values for high side values, I guess. Code hasn’t come back. I think I’m good now.

The search button here will help tremendously. If you do search you will see alot of us "OG'S" are still on here and have seen the same stuff multiple times over the years and it gets frustrating. Take the time to search your face off because i do and still do. I still go through old thread's that have been left open by people who posted years ago to get any answer on their issue and not be left hanging like everyone else. Good luck and God speed.
