I was able to do it despite not being electrically inclined at all , like atlantaM3 said there's a ton of good guides online that make it super easy to follow.

Only recommendations that helped me too is using the harness mentioned above and the Canopener tool below which basically does the for scan stuff for you if you're worried about that.

I used the 4D stuff too, made that part plug-n-play. worth the $ for me personally.

Did you guys have to wire the red wire that comes off the RCA cable that goes into the 4D harness? This is my first time trying to install a reverse camera lol

Not unless you want to do it that way. I tapped power from the reverse lights in the rear, as much closer.

I ran the power wire through the rubber grommet by the trunk hinge using a metal coat hanger to guide it, worked great without needing to drill or mess anything up.

What was your method of feeding the composite video cable into the head unit area? There's not many options there without taking the entire dash off. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to hook that actual video cable up to the harness is.

You can feed the composite video cable into the glove compartment and snake it up to the head unit. Here's another video detailing it --

Yea, I'm not planning on taking the whole dash off, I was just trying to point out there didn't seem to be a good spot to feed the cable into that area. I was actually watching that video as well, but he skips the part where he actually gets the cable up there. I'll take a closer look, I already have the glovebox off because I was replacing the cabin air filter while I was at it (could Ford have made it any harder to replace btw!?).

EDIT: Ahh, I missed where he took the CD player and vents out even, that might make it easier. I just have the head unit off right now, I wasn't planning on taking the CD player area out as well.
