HOPEFULLY FORD will bring back our Fiesta ST and Focus ST and RS. The EV Experiment has proven to be an epic failure. Our subcompact and compact cars get phenomenal gas mileage.
We definitely help FORD with the CAFE Regulations!
The European Union to Ban Gas-Powered Cars by 2035 still gives Ford 10 full years to produce small IC engine vehicles like ours. The current law will probably be extended beyond 2035 based upon the INFRASTRUCTURE FAILURE at this point. Further, small cars are the perfect answer for all of the other countries of the world to Include the USA. Good on gas, easy to park and maneuver in city traffic. Everyone sees that HONDA, TOYOTA, KIA, HYUNDAI, MAZDA, MINI, BMW, MERCEDES, SUBARU are selling SMALL CARS in the USA in high demand!
I know that FORD has made a huge investment in BATTERY and ELECTRIC Powered vehicles. We all know that as of this date, the EV project is a money loser for FORD. I do not have the Financial Documents to know the billions of dollars probably trillions that FORD has invested. BUT Our Beloved Fiesta and Fiesta ST can continue to be made in Mexico until 2050 or longer.

The USA adopted a new more stringent EPA Green House Gas and Emissions resolution March 20, 2024. That still provides for ICE Engines to be manufactured and does NOT HAVE a TERMINATION DATE for the ICE drivetrain.
Produce all the ELECTRIC F-150 and SUV and Mach 1 Mustangs that you can crank out! Just bring back our subcompact vehicle as we HELP the BOTTOM LINE! The manufacturing plant in Canada is being converted to produce Electric SUV [former Edge and Lincoln Nautilus]. That plant did not manufacture our FIESTA ST.
The final production for the USA market was Cuatitlan Mexico. The Final World wide production plant was in Cologne Germany. That plant has been converted to manufacture the Explorer EV.

The Cuautitlán Mexico Assembly plant was converted from our Fiesta to the Mustang Mach E and the Ford Maverick pickup truck. Surely our Fiesta ST could be worked into that plant on a limited run with a modern drivetrain from the Maverick ICE or Hybrid engine or Explorer EV drivetrain in Cologne Germany.

The information below states what country your Fiesta was manufactured in since 1976 when these characters come first on your VIN:
  • A means it was produced in South Africa
  • L means it was made in China
  • W means it was produced in Germany
  • R means that your Fiesta was manufactured in Taiwan
  • S means that the car was produced in the United Kingdom
  • V indicates that the car was made in Spain
  • X indicates that your Fiesta was made in Russia
  • 3 means that your Fiesta was made in Mexico
  • 9 means that it was made in Brazil
  • 8 means that it was manufactured in Venezuela
  • Combinations between MA–ME means your Fiesta was manufactured in India; and
  • Combinations between ML–MR indicates that your car was produced in Thailand

A modern ST would sell worldwide!
If anyone at FORD Reads our Forum, Please take this recommendation to the CEO and Board of Directors!!
Or let me know whom to contact that will actually read and respond to our request.
Thank you.

... Don't forget to actually advertise it this time.
They never really advertised the FiST. Every piece of marketing material I saw, I had to go seek out myself.
Other vehicles like the F-150, Mustang, Edge, Explorer, Escape.. I'd see included in on normal marketing campaigns.
It was also hard to find a dealer that actually stocked them.
They'd have to in-turn reach out to other dealers in other states to go fetch one.

As far as getting cars back in general, Ford has decided to relinquish that market (and my future monies) entirely unto other car companies...

Never say Never my friend....WHEN they have acres of SUV and trucks that are NOT SELLING because who has $71,000+++ to spend on a daily driver and they look at how much MONEY the small car manufacturers have made in the last 5 years....FORD will wake up!! [ i hope] and start building CARS again....not big huge gas guzzling trucks and suvs!!

I found this online and thought you might like to see and/or share.

The way housing prices have skyrocketed, who can afford a new vehicle purchase. In our area I keep seeing out-of-state buyers, primarily from Texas, buying up local properties then immediately relisting them $30 to $50k higher. It's just sdubid. They're treating the housing market like a quick-return investment by locking up all the inventory then forcing people to buy at asinine prices. People sitting a loads of cash are literally putting the common folk in the poor house.

Anyway, @Ford SVT & ST, enduring companies do shift strategies from time-to-time. Their roots were based on mass-producing a vehicle that the common schmoe could afford. That was the idea behind the Model-(Alphabet) vehicles as well as the original Mustang. Right now that strategy has shifted to some degree... Ford wants to be more like the Lincoln division. They may eventually shift back. How quickly that does or doesn't occur I suspect depends on leadership. BIG, just hasn't appealed to me.
