oh for both cars, or additional premium for the beater alone?
hard to tell with insurance given it varies so much between location and driving record.

Just for this one. Parents helped me out with insurance on Papa Jim (base fiesta) while in college but I’ll take it over next month.

This is my only accident. Mr Lifted truck with 3 ball hitch jammed er in reverse at my old apartment complex as I drove by.

I mostly fixed the damage and took the insurance payout for like 1200 bucks after cost. Pulled the hinge out with a tie strap, come along, and a hammer till it looked good enough. Can still see I didn’t pull the hinge far enough, but it seals and adds character.

Why does that infotainment screen look odd 🤔 is that aftermarket?

yes! That’s the product of a lot of bullshitting and time. My start of working on cars and wires in general. Night I bought that car the stereo went out. It’s some bullshit with the power cable and I could have fixed it but I didn’t even check it (uneducated moment). Bought one of the only aftermarket screens available and it’s a piece of shit but it works and has Bluetooth and nav). Eventually got pissed I couldn’t turn off traction control in the winter and cut the dash and headliner up to accept the stock controls and screen back in, plus I loved the red lights from the early fiesta models. I’ll take another pic tonight if I remember. Stock controls work and the radio works. Finding what wires to splice was damn impossible. Miles get stuck in kmh but idc.

made that shifter from a brass forging.

do also notice my prized crank windows and my Garfield ornament (G force indicator)

Put in led strips with a jank 12 to 5v usb thing and wired everything to the cigarette lighter so it’s fused and it hasn’t broke or lit on fire yet. All in all, a wonderful learning experience for a complete newbie at the time and I’m proud of it.
