2019 ST-Line prep for Grid Life Sundae Cup

Howdy! Just joined and recently picked up a 2019 ST-Line to do Sundae Cup. I will be looking for ST bits that swap over other than drive train. i will hit the search button first but if anyone wants to chime in great! I am coming from a Honda background, but I didn't want to join the Honda Fit bandwagon.

They run this series/class out of our local tracks (Pocono, NJMP, Lime Rock Park, Summit Point, Monticello Motor Club(?), etc.)?

Somehow, I thought that it was only a west coast thing, exclusively.

Looking over the rules for the class, pretty much only the suspension and brakes allow changing. (as far as meaningful things to bring over from the ST). So I'd recommend either fitting the full ST suspension as OEM springs and struts, or a coilover set. Probably bring the brakes over too. There's a thread on this forum where a member took a Fiesta sedan and made it into a sleeper ST. It would probably be worth looking that over for how to make the non-ST have ST suspension and brakes. I didn't check for wheels, but rather than the 17" wheels of the ST I'd recommend running 16s with the spec 205 width Falkens.

Correct. Suspension/brakes basically. Anything "OEM"

I have read Focus SVT rear calipers swap out with the ST. So that would work if it's legit. Basically I need to figure out what year's interchange with mine. and some minor changes to different things for different years. Or sedan sway bar vs hatch. Should be a fun journey 🤞

That would be the smart move. In Europe, where Fiestas are very popular, they did a performance version with the 1.0 ecoboom, with a bunch of ST bits underneath.

This is a great interview by one of our own, and Tim Smith, one of the Ford Performance engineers who designed it.

Noice. Will check that out. Also I am getting a hint to stay away from 1.0 ecoboosts 😆. I don't think the states got them, but good to know
