What if my kid or dog's in the car with the A/C on while I'm having a drink?

Sue Toyota for failing to switch the car off in an emergency... oh wait... that was the sudden acceleration issue...

This is people fighting Natural selection! No offense but if you leave your vehicle running and then close the garage door....Whose fault is it? Toyota's or the person who decided not to follow or read the owners manual on turning vehicles off when in a confined space?

Or the floor mat got caught underneath the acceleration pedal and it propelled my car forward......C'mon...this has all been user error and the manufacturer taking the fall for peoples stupidity..

You know the EU has regulations, forbidding cars from being too quiet. One of the reasons is, low vision and blind pedestrians (as well as some animals) rely on cars being loud enough to hear on approach.

@TyphoonFiST - Yeah, totally agree. The manufacturer just turns around and passes on that cost to the consumer. I hate having to pay for all the dirty bombs that the government mandated, be standard now. None of the crash test dummies wear glasses, I'd rather not have them shoved through my eyeballs. Glasses go flying off face, only go get shoved right back in it by the dirty bomb... and probably offset so one of the temples are making eye contact.

This happened to me with my Focus ST - I put the floor mats in wonky and put it OVER the gas pedal. Did I die or crash? no. I put the car in neutral and shut it off, then got out and fixed it. lol.
