205/45/17 tires on swift springs. Yay or Nay?

I just recently lowered my car on some swift springs and Konis. Currently I’m running some 195/50/16 winter rubber but I’m wondering if 205/45/17 will fit on the stock wheels without rubbing. I got a free set of 205/45/17 like new summer rubber from a friend. If it’s going to run though I won’t mount them. Anyone running 45 series on a lowered fist without rubbing?

I'm running stock tire size (205/40/17) on Swift springs and there is space to spare so I'm sure It'll be fine

i have the same setup sitting in the garage,which I will install in the spring.From what I have read so far in this forum and few friends who are dropped an inch.You will be fine.I might go with 16x8 Dekas and 215/45/16s.

This is my end goal with rt615k+. I won't do this though until I'm about to throw on an s280 and hopefully a US tuner breaks some ground with uprated injectors.

They fit with no rubbing. Tires are 205/45 S001’s

Do the slightly taller tires smooth out the ride at all? How is the cornering affected?

The ride is definitely smoother, not a crazy difference but noticeable. As for cornering it’s hard to say since I didn’t have the 2 sets of tires on the same wheels. Turn in was improved but I’m also running wider wheels now.

If you’re end goal is to smooth out the ride, Koni yellows on the rear axle. I got a set secondhand and installed them last weekend (set them one quarter turn from full soft) overall just vastly improved the body control of the car without harming the communicative feeling the FiST has from the factory. I did get a brief drive out in the twistys by home and the back end felt slightly less willing to swing out, but it was a very marginal difference and that may have had more to due with my air pressures which had run a few psi low from a year without checking them.

How much do you think the Swifts lowered the car? Do you have any suspension Braces such as 2 pt ....4pt or 6pt ? If so do you hit more stuff? I jst have to put my Springs on my slightly used Stock suspension hoping I don't lower it very much so that it scraps more.

My Swift springs lowered about an inch. Don't have any bracing but haven't had any issues with scraping.
