Ford is an American company, giving us a US Fiesta ST is not enough to make up for all the ST and RS models that we have not had, its just one thing they got right.

It sounds like the Fiesta RS is a pure rumor. The 2.0/2.3 engine is a lot larger and the Fiesta engine bay is pretty packed already, that's not happening. As said, a traditional AWD wouldn't make sense. With the cam belt and HPFP cam lobe, I don't see much more power happening from the factory. It just doesn't add up to an RS model that makes sense.

To be honest ....I'm happy there isn't a fiesta RS in the works. It would been one of those "God dammit why did they have to do this right after I bought my FiST"....but I'm still excited to see what the other Performance vehicles are coming down the pipe from Ford!

No I know what it is... An ST with a DHM intercooler, willwood brake kit, Cyborg turbo...
Exactly. Aside from shoehorning a 2.0L in there or creating AWD in a chassis not designed for AWD, Ford can't provide too much more value here. We can (and many do) make 250 bhp in the aftermarket without too much time, money or effort... relatively speaking of course.

Really don't need to see a new Fiesta "RS"...But I would like to see the new 2017 Fiesta ST "refresh" upgraded with wider stance, slightly larger twin scroll turbo, larger FMIC, and LSD...

I don't think we will see a Fiesta RS.
I also don't believe that we will see much change in the FiST other than a face lift and a drop to a 1.5L engine.

THIS JUST IN !!

Ford to launch 2017 Fiesta RS2300 ST.
It will come with a mid-ship mounted 2.3L AWD eco pumped out to 400AWHP with optional track system or hover system. If you upgrade to the RS2300 ST Cosworth Shelby edition you get stealth and afterburners that will push the power to 1700AWHP. SAY WHAT!!!

no bullshit, i really did hear this... in my head, but does that make it any less real?

anyway i love the look of the Focus RS and would get one if not for my ST and my 2016 Renegade XXC 1000r payments.

Agreed! By now you think these would come standard even on econo-boxes!
Seriously, I remember when I was in full ricer phase back in 2007 and had a EK Civic Coupe with a body kit and shitty projector headlights with drop in HID kit and thought it was bad ass. Still had the crappy D16Y8 SOHC motor in it though, sadly. But I digress, I would be driving down the freeway at night doing about the speed limit and remember super bright HID headlights coming along to pass me always thinking "oh boy its gonna be a sports car or something cool".

Nah bruh, PRIUS.

SERIOUSLY. But we cant have them.

LOL...I thought you were referring to standard euro style lensed headlamps which I'd like to see on the US 2017 refresh...

Ford Fiesta RS !

Imagine a fiesta RS with awd, focus St engine and turbo setup, probably just 2900 ish pounds! That would be one quick little fiesta. I wonder if ford has considered doing this?

There's been plenty of talk and Ford said they aren't doing a Fiesta RS.
