Hey guys
My st has an issue where its like the clutch is slipping in 6th gear
This happens in 5th but very rarely
It only happens using more than 1/4 throttle at 3000rpm
Any higher its fine
The vehicle does not accelerate and the revs rise
The problem being it has done this for 10.000 miles and does not affect any other gear
A worn out clutch would slp in every gear by now
Does anyone know why this may be
It started happening around the time used millers lspi oil but not sure thats relevant

AFAIK, thats how you know that the clutch is close to being worn out, i.e. when it starts slipping in higher gears.

EDIT: Maybe the car was driven more carefully and it just hasn't worn much since?

EDIT2: Maybe clutch itself is fine but is somehow contaminated? Possibly that oil seeping through the seal out of the engine and onto the clutch? Is it still 5W20?

Yeh buddy have experienced a worn out clutch two times before on different vehicles
This has done 10.000 miles with this issue
This would effect all gears by now
The vehicle gets a ton of abuse once warm and serviced regularly

Not sure buddy but the oil is 5w30

28.000 miles buddy running 288 ft lb torque
Not really probably done about 8 hard launches in 14 months so not a lot really
Just strange every single gear is fine other than 6th and rarely 5th gear

Weird. It would be nice if there was a way to look at the clutch without having to drop the transmission.

Yeah, 28,000 miles seems far too low to even consider a worn clutch but as we all know strange things do happen. If there was oil on the clutch plate, I think you would notice a burnt smell or even have trouble switching between gears.
Just my opinion but I don't think there is anything you can do but open it up! Even if the clutch is not worn you still have an issue and it needs to be fixed. Hopefully someone has had a similar issue and can shed some light! Good luck man.

Using Miller´s CFS NT+ 5W-40 I have not such a problem.
Just using 95 octane fuel.
I am using 100 octane fuel now and have no problem at all.
Have you checked the diagnostic entries?

Hidden due to high thefts in the UK
The most stolen vehicle of the year
Will try a different 99 octane and if that doesnt solve it will plug her in thank you

Not swapped the fuel yet but did an obd reader tonight
No codes present
Went for a drive logging the usual
A/f
Boost
Temperature
Intake
Maf
Everything seems normal
So strange

Definitely not the clutch either very strange
Oh well having an s280 fitted and tuned in a few months so maybe they will sort it
