I have owned my Fiesta. for approximately three years, purchasing it in New Jersey and having it shipped to Texas. It came with some mods, and I have added more over time. While it has presented some challenges, I am very fond of it. About four months ago, I was involved in a minor accident; I mistakenly drove over ice thinking it was water., causing me to cross the median. My AP was ejected from the vehicle and sustained significant damage. Is there any possibility of data recovery? The AP was included in the purchase of the vehicle and also had a stage 3 tune installed. I really dont have an extra $700 for a new unit and custom tune right now 😭😭😭

You have I think 3 options...
1) drive it as it is, with the tune you had at the time of the incident
2) buy another unit. (You may be able to talk them into selling you one for a discount considering the circumstances)
3) go to a dealer and have them reset to stock. (for a price)

Keep us posted as to your decision.

What kind of ā€œStage 3 tuneā€ are you talking about? Cobb OTS or something else?

As long as you’re not planning on changing the tune any time soon, you can chuck the broken AP in a box.

You can also email Cobb’s technical support and find out if there’s a way to get your current unit fixed, even if you have to pay a repair fee.

If you ever do decide to get a new AP (look for a used unmarried one if you want to save a few bucks), you should be able to flash the car back to the stock/stage 0 tune, but if that’s done the ā€œdamagedā€ AP will be forever unusable even if it can be repaired as it will still be ā€œmarriedā€ to the car
