Anyone done anything with the dead space under the trunk floor?

Noticed there's a decent gap between the hatch floor & the spare tire. Looks like a good option for some storage solution that's even more out of sight.
Pondering something maybe carpet lined & made from thin/light wood, or maybe multiple 3D printed pieces.

Would be a good spot to keep things like jumper cables, a couple straps & maybe a small toolkit/bottle jack.
Also want to have a hidden lockbox to secure things when not able to take into my destination, since the console & glovebox don't lock.

Just so you know, you can put the load floor in two different positions so there's more or less space under there, here's a screenshot of how you do that from the manual. I put an old sheet under there so I'd have something to sit on if I had to change a tire-

Full size spare, stock scissor jack, plug-in air pump, jumper cables and a 630W RMS amp. There's also some extra goodies like tire pressure gauge, a couple trash bags and rubber gloves.

Keep in mind that this space can be a significant source for noise so adding things that vibrate against the sheetmetal or dance around with bumps in the road, can get annoying.

Carpeting would dampen noise but would hold moisture, humidity and hide evidence of water intrusion.
