Does anyone know what the sizes are for all the boost clamps? Also, what are the best clamps?

I used the Mountune ones for 5 years and never had a boost leak even with a turbo upgrade

I tried the Mountune hose clamps and popped/broke a few. I think its user error at this point. Lol

I used to upgrade to T clamps, but tried doubling up on a second worm clamp after reading about people on here doing that. haven't had one leak or pop yet on factory turbo 26psi / stg 2. a simple and elegant solution

If you’re on stock hoses an upgrade to Samco/Mountune will help

Well, I wasnt too impressed with the Mountuned hoses, 3 of them broke as I was tightening them. Now, I'm just using normal worm gear style of clamps.
Although today, I just ordered some constant torque clamps from hoses.com. Very expensive, but I'm hoping they do the trick

It's been said that the worm gear style clamps, give equal clamping force throughout the entire circumference. Plus it's a cheaper alternative that can be found at any local hardware store. I used a few on mine on pressurized couplers with no problems. Just don't use a lubricant to help slip fit the silicone coupler over the metal pipe. Use water or my choice is spit.

The equal clamping force hasn't been the problem. It's just that when I tighten them down, they always seem to pop/break....even the Mountune clamps (which were not very impressive).

If you were popping or breaking clamps, you were way over torquing them. The amount of torque can easily be achieved with 3 fingers on a 1/4" drive ratchet and moderate force. The quote below is from a manufacturer of clamps.

BREEZE T-Bolt Clamps

These range in size from 1 ¼" to 8 13/16" in size. The correct clamp tightening torque for this is 60 in. lbs. for the clamps with a ¼ screw and 150 in. lbs. for clamps with a 5/16" diameter screw. This specification is for standard and spring-loaded clamps.

I'm pretty sure I've found a solution. The new clamps will work perfectly I believe.....and hope. Lol

Buy Whooshs boost hose kit and Double up at each point of clamp location. You could use just one set of clamps then follow that up with the use of Zip- ties. I was blowing hoses off left and right with my Gen2 and now almost a year later NO ISSUE after doubling up clamps at the point of the hoses blowing off.

We use Breeze clamps at my Work on the Bus fleet we have. NO different than worm style clamps to be honest. Save your money and Double up or use zip ties.IMO.

On my work truck, I have constant torque clamps, and that turbo sees boost up to 50psi. I havent had a problem with them, that's why I decided to try them on the Fiesta as well. I looked into the Breeze clamps also.

Two Walmart clamps each and some hairspray on the charge pipes connecting to the intercooler and we're golden
Now THAT is a good idea!!!!! Thank you!!!! I will definitely be using that idea. Thanks again!!!

I have a set of these ready to go on when I change out the factory stuff for the Mountune charge hoses/pipe. [thumb]
