Hi all,

Big newbie here, uh let me correct that, newbie to the Fiesta ST world, I am a Mustang/Ford Performance guy. Anyway here is the question, I need new rubber on my Fiesta ST and I also have at least 1 TPMS out so here is what I got it narrowed down to:

(Car is pretty much stock and running stock rims, and is a daily driver, no track time).

TPMS : 9L3Z-1A189-A (this is the right tpms right?)

Tires: Nitto Neo Gen or General G-Max AS-07

Thanks!

If you plan on driving in the winter at all, or using these tires year 'round, I would go with the AS-07s.

If they are going to be '3 season' (with a real separate winter tire/wheel setup available or being used), I would go with the Neo Gens.

I had a set of Neo gens on my 16x8 Dekagram wheels and they were phenomenal for a (supposedly) all season tire in the cool, warm, dry (and even cool wet when new).
But anything more than ~0.5" of snow and they were sketchy at best, and even very cold (like < 15*F) and dry, they were not ideal, even at brand new tread depths.

The AS-07s look like they could handle snow even better than my 2 season Conti DWS-06+ on Dekagrams, going by their tread pattern, and I may try them next when the Contis wear out, if I live that long.

Thanks for the scoop, I just ordered the Generals from tire rack. By the way I put Conti DWS tires on my Sonata and my Turbo Optima and both times I was like "meh". My brother in law was and still is all gaga over them, but I thought they were very average. One tire I did like was the Toyo Proxies, that was a great tire. The best performance tire in my opinion is the (pricey) Michelin Pilot 4S those tires are great but you pay for it. I have been to the track twice (mustang) running michelin 4S (once in the rain) and yeah, they handle the rain like a champ.
