It has a By-pass valve built into the compressor housing to allow the air to recirculate when the throttle snaps closed and the turbo is producing boost.

I've read the 1.6 ecoboost uses a recirculating valve which is a blow-off valve integrated in the compressor housing.

You can always add a dump valve to the car, is this what you are looking for?

Perfect opportunity for someone to make a ricer plate just like the SRT-4 :

For those unfamiliar, it goes between the surge valve and the compressor housing.

I can't wait for a turbo upgrade so we can reposition our diverters to the IC piping. Also if you're smart, continue to use a recirculating set up as it cuts turbo lag and we will never run huge boost figures on our cars that warrant a true BOV. To be honest if you wanna be a ricer go for it but true tuners use as much recirculation as possible to minimize lag. I sometimes do feel ashamed of how loud the stock DIV is when driving around my neighborhood...I can't imagine how many old peoples' broken necks I'd be responsible for if I installed a proper BOV. I would like it to be off the turbo though. Seems like a very cheap solution to a problem and I know the packaging may have had to do with it but still...do it proper and don't integrate it.

The stock bpv is already pretty damn loud with an intake. Dunno why anyone would want a bov. I could understand if you went big turbo and you needed to relocate, but other than that....

Had one on my GTI. It was cool, but provided absolutely zero performance features.

Any idea what the part number for the bypass valve is? Is it even sold by itself?? Or at least a picture
