Boost fluctuating when accelerating

Hey folks,

Ive had these issues going on for a while now on my 2016 Fiesta ST with about 95k miles on the odo.

There are two symptoms that occur. One happens constantly the other is intermittent.

Issue #1: Boost fluctuation - Easily reproducible.

• When accelerating, the boost seems to fluctuate - it rapidly builds boost and drops and build and drops.
• You can feel the power fluctuate when accelerating.
• You can hear the fluctuation in the exhaust note.
• RPM does not appear to go up and drop down abnormally indicating this is not a clutch issue (as best as I can tell).

Issue #2: Loss of power, no boost, turbo flutters. - Intermittent, difficult to reproduce.

• Has happened randomly after driving anywhere from 10 mins to 10 hours
• No power, cannot accelerate. No boost
• After letting off of WOT, turbo flutters
• Stopping and turning off the car for a moment makes it go away

Does the boost fluctuation occur on WOT? My car seems to do that weird fluctuation when I'm half-throttle, but acts normal on WOT. I can only really hear the fluctuation in the boost itself & see minor fluctuation in the boost pressure.
I can't relate on the second issue, so I apologize.

My money is on a failing throttle body that still hasnt pooped the bed yet.

Issue was failed boost solenoid.

Running well after replacement.

I was about to make a thread but my symptoms are very similar in my Transit Connect 1.6l ecoboost. Been running forscan, no codes coming up, but basically...
>2000-3000rpm, noticible stuttering in power
>religious oil changes at 5k km
>transmission fluid changed
>air filter changed
>spark plugs changed
>fluids checked
