20201005_115939.jpg I had a new 2019 FIST ( pictured ) but sold it ( doh ! ). I'm looking for another but now the low mile / mint cars are out of my price range. I can and will deal with minor mechanical and cosmetic issues so the higher mileage FIST is an option. BUT - I'd need to hear comments regarding things to look for when buying a used FIST. Clutch, syncros, turbo, electrical. etc. Price commensurate with condition will be a big deal for me. Thanks !

Avoid mods and mod-reversals. Creates issues and complicates maintenance.
The more reliable it is, the more time you'll have to drive it, as opposed to work on it.

I agree with intuit. I only have a Cobb stage 2 on mine, NO other engine mods and has been totally reliable throughout its life.

i've got over 150k on mine now. clutch slave is starting to leak. had the hvac issues that are common. otherwise, it's been great. when i did the timing belt i was quite impressed with the quality of the parts that came off. i was quite unimpressed with some of the packaging decisions they made to get this engine into this engine bay. and the keyless crank. I'd watch for rust, and stupid/poorly installed mods that are just shitting up an otherwise great car.
