I can't decide between the Advanti DST storm s1 17 in 17x8 with 205/40/17
Firestone Firehawk indy500
Or oz formula4 hlt's in 17x7 with same 205/40/17 firestones

Would 205 on a 8" rim be like really stretched? Do y'all think the bright silver Advanti rims would look better than the oz's in gloss black on my tuxedo fist?

The Advanti's would be a super light setup too....hmmmmmmmmm

Price difference is minimal.

Help fam!

Tirerack gives you a recommended range of rim widths when you look at tires there. I would start with that.

lighter and wider seems like a no-brainer if the cost difference is reasonable.

If the actual tread width of the indys is close to 7.5" or greater, will not be overstretched at all.

Actual tread with of the stock sized indy is 7.3. It should still be fine. I just installed indys recently and they are a great tire

What size tire and what width wheel? Curious to see how the 205/40R17 looks on a 17x8.

Here are my 17x8 on the stock 205/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s. Stretch is minimal. Not too much to look stupid and fits the car really well.

EDIT: Forgot how small this picture is. I can get a better one if need be.
