I actually know a guy who lives up the street who has one of the LeMans campaign cars. Usually it's under cover occasionally he pulls it out.

The 1979 Capri RS Turbo 2.3L ....like mine. Kept 9 months and traded for Indy Pace Car Mustang 5.0L

Prefered the 5.0 as the 2.3 had low torque and was always running to redline. Mustang had REAL Recaros with all adjustments not like the budget versions in the ST. Both were 0-60 in a little under 10 sec. Quick for the bad years but the manual trans and 5.0 rumble made it a fun car. The RS was more fun in the twisties with higher RPM's and lower weight on the front end.

I'm actually looking into picking up a project Capri here soon.
Of course, people are dropping LSxes into them now, like everything else.

I SERIOUSLY DOUBT a 'Coyote' would/could ever fit into a first or second gen, Euro/Brit based Capri, sadly. [:(]

Richard Kiser, the principal owner/proprietor of the long ago defunct Rokstock mentioned above, put a built, carbed, 351 into a Capri II. http://oregonhotrod.com/rok_stock_capri.htm
