So, day I've turned the car off and I'm listening to the radio in the car waiting and I don't want the car to turn the radio off, how do I go about making the car keep the radio on?

Press the power button.

Press the power button.
Yeah, that'll work for like 15-20 minutes then I need to press it again. I've noticed this while not in the car which might be the issue too.
I guess I'm having trouble adjusting to a car that doesn't have a key that I can just leave in the "ACC" position.

For the ACC position, press the Start Button without depressing the clutch.

This information can be found in your manual, BTW.

Okay, got it now. A manual adds weight, ergo, less power. Thanks for answering, appreciate it.

Ford had problems with their Hybrid powered vehicles with the low voltage (12volt) being drained. Because of the complexity of those drive trains Ford had a very tough time finding where the parasitic drain was coming from. One of their many attemps to fix this was to not allow the radio to play for very long after the engine was shut off. It appears that Ford configured all its cars to behave that way.

For the ACC position, press the Start Button without depressing the clutch.
Pushing the button once is equivalent to the "ON" position without starting. i.e. wipers, power windows, dash warning lights and HVAC fan are operational. It's essentially always in ACC mode as soon as you unlock or open a door. It's very strange.

My other push button start car functions as you'd expect. Off is off, 1st push = acc, 2nd push = on.

Do not leave it in "ON" mode. That will drain the battery very quickly regardless of what items are turned off.

I've noticed that the moon roof can only operate when the ignition is ON. It's handy to still be able to roll-up the windows after turning off the engine. It's quite annoying in other vehicles to have to turn the car back on to get the windows to roll-up. However, I still have to do that with regard to the moon roof... and from Spring to Fall, I use that as much as I do the windows. (personally not a fan of air-conditioning and never use it)

Restating other comments: "ACC"essory mode remains in full effect for a period after the engine is shutoff. The radio can be run whenever the key is inside the vehicle. The radio always runs on a power-off timer whenever the ignition is off.

You may be able to manually reset the timer at your convenience (like during a commercial or break in programming) by turning it off and back on.

10 minutes is all you'll get unless if someone either through an AP or factory ford software can reprogram it for longer
